Budawang NP: Mt Currockbilly Exploration

Mt Currockbilly is a prominent peak with spectacular views to Mt Budawang, The Castle, Pigeon House, and to the west. We start the walk on footpads and an abandoned fire trail both faint at times. There is minor scrub on the way up with regrowth. There are some steep uneven climbs. Along with ascending Mt Currockbilly, we will explore the tops area including two log book sites and remnant unburnt rainforest, and look for an alternative way off the tops to the cars .

As much of the walk is off track and largely exploratory for the leader, participants need to be experienced at off track walking, reasonably fit and suitably prepared to cope with whatever the terrain might throw at us.

We can meet at either Spotlight Queanbeyan or elsewhere for carpooling to start of walk - cost and distance TBA.
