DESCRIPTION:Mt Currockbilly is a prominent peak with spectacular views t
 o Mt Budawang, The Castle, Pigeon House, and to the west. We start the w
 alk on footpads and an abandoned fire trail both faint at times. There i
 s minor scrub on the way up with regrowth. There are some steep uneven c
 limbs. Along with ascending Mt Currockbilly, we will explore the tops ar
 ea including two log book sites and remnant unburnt rainforest, and look
  for an alternative way off the tops to the cars . As much of the walk i
 s off track and largely exploratory for the leader, participants need to
  be experienced at off track walking, reasonably fit and suitably prepar
 ed to cope with whatever the terrain might throw at us. We can meet at e
 ither Spotlight Queanbeyan or elsewhere for carpooling to start of walk 
 - cost and distance TBA. Note: This is an irregular capped X/M-H (explor
 atory and moderate to hard grade) walk sponsored by the CBC that is not 
 part of the existing inter-club Wednesday Walks program.
