Aranda and Mt Painter wander

A nice morning wander through the local reserves of Aranda and Mt Painter, along a combination of undulating fire trails, single trails, open woodlands and through grasslands. Firstly, exploring the Aranda side, which includes a less visited area of pretty bushland in the southern end of the reserve. Then, we crisscross the undulating landscape making our way to the underpass on Bindubi Street, passing the Cook Horse Paddock to approach Mt Painter. We complete a loop at Mt Painter, from the newer trail up to the summit, taking in all the views, and then return to our starting point. Approx 3 1/2 hours and before the midday heat!
