**No bookings required for Wednesday Walks** Shanahans Mountain and Mount Boboyan Leader: Andrew Cupit (0478309791). cupitandjen@outlook.com The walk starts at the Shanahans Mountain car park on Boboyan Road. We will walk along Shanahans Mountain trail till we reach Shanahans Mountain for views eastward over Clear Range. We will then head north along a ridge following an old fire trail for 2 kms before heading west off track for 3kms across Dry Creek back to Boboyan Road. We will head up to Yerrabi car park and follow the trail up to Mount Boboyan and Tor for great views of the southern areas of Namadgi National Park including Sentry Box, Yankee Hat and Gudgenby. We walk back to the Yerrabi car park. A short car shuffle will be required between Shanahans and Yerrabi car parks. The 3km off-track section varies from light to medium bush. Walkers are advised to have gaiters and gloves. Distance: 11.5km. Climb: 650m. BBC level: Medium (9). Map: Yaouk and Colinton. Weather forecast (for Canberra): Min 8 Max 27. Chance of any rain: 10%. Mostly sunny. Light winds becoming northeast to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h during the day. Meeting point: Lanyon Valley Marketplace shops in time to leave promptly by 8am. Cars: 98 km ($14 per passenger). Those doing their first Wednesday walk and also prospective walkers who are not members of the BBC, NPA or CBC clubs must contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
