BLACK MOUNTAIN RESERVE /ARANDA BUSHLAND Leader: Dave Abela (0482 802 050) From the cars, we take the Caswell Drive underpass, then left into Black Mountain Reserve via the Woodland and Lakeview Trails. It’s a steep, rough fire trail up before turning right onto a pretty footpad to a lookout with lovely views across the lake (poles useful for this section). Continue following the Bushland Nature Walk through the Botanic Gardens to the Centenary Trail. We climb Little Black Mountain and follow a bush track to the underpass into the Aranda bushland. Explore this reserve including the Frost Hollow before heading back to the cars. Distance: 13km Climb: 400m BBC Grading: Medium (8) Meet: at 8.30am at the car park on old Caswell Drive, just north of Glenloch Interchange near the start of the Aranda Bushland walks.
