The Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail is a unique 5 day 70km full pack experience. It mainly follows the beautiful Flinders Chase coastline where we will visit beaches, cliffs, extraordinary rock formations and lots of coastal wildlife including seals and sea birds. I’m planning a 10 day round trip from Canberra with a free full day on KI for other sightseeing, but others in the group may want to stay longer. I’ve reserved some very good townhouse style accommodation in Kingscote as a base for the group. Kingscote is the main town on KI and has all of the usual facilities of a seaside town. Cost considerations include fuel, accomodation, car ferry and the cost of the walk but should total around $800 or $900 per person for the 10 days. If you’re interested in coming along, just send a request to me for lots more details and a cost breakdown.
The walk is limited to 48 persons only per day (36 reserved for private tour operators) with 12 places only reserved for independent walkers. I have 12 places reserved.
A multi day backpacking or base-camping activity.
