Snowshoe day walk - Porcupine Rocks

A day walk snowshoeing from Perisher Valley. We follow the shallow valley of Rock Creek upwards to where there is a view over to the Main Range, before reaching Porcupine Rocks to look steeply down into the Thredbo valley. Then a short wander northward along the ridge to Duncan Trig. Back across the top of Rock Creek to ascend Mt Wheatley with views to the Perisher ski slopes, before descending off the northern nose and back to the start. A stop for afternoon tea in Jindabyne on the way home.

Participants should be in possession of snowshoes and poles before departure.
