This 8-day self guided walking tour will start in Garmisch, in the South-East of Germany. The route will traverse the mountains of Bavaria and the Tyrol, and end in Innsbruck in western Austria. During this tour we will walk along high altitude paths, see stunning views of ragged peaks, and stay in rustic alpine cabins. This will be a demanding hike covering a total of 67km (total ascent 5,210m) with five consecutive days of 4.5 to 7 hours of walking. The route will take us through high alpine territory so a good head for heights, sure-footedness and a good level of fitness will be important.
