Bulee Cascades (Wednesday Walk)

A circuit that includes two creeks, two sets of cascades, some dramatic cliff-base scenery and varied vegetation. From the Nerriga-Nowra Road, we will head south, crossing Bainbrig Creek below a small gorge-like section, then across a flat area of largely open forest, dotted with cream-barked gums. After a scrubby section of about 800 metres we’ll follow Bulee Brook for about 500 metres, linking two sets of cascades. We’ll return by a different route that follows the base of a cliffline for 1.5 km, visiting the ‘Wavelet’ cave on the way. Part of the Wednesday Walk series – no need to book but the usual Wednesday Walk participation rules apply. Meet at the Spotlight carpark, 6 Bungendore Road, Queanbeyan, ready for an 8 am departure.
