Family walks based in Thredbo

Designed for families with active kids 7 years or older. Arrive on the afternoon of Sunday 17th January and leave Friday 22 January. Day walks depending on the weather. Options include hilly walks from the top of the Thredbo chair through alpine meadows to explore giant granite boulders, an off track walk into the upper Thredbo Valley (cascades, some scrub), a walk into a swimming hole in the Murray River which is a half hour drive from Thredbo, and possibly a picnic with liloing opportunities near Bullocks Flat. Costs will include a Parks Pass, lift tickets, and accommodation. Please note: as of July 25th 2026, three families are booked, and they have filled up all the five night vacancies in the lodge accommodation organised by the leader. Additional families welcome, but will need either to find independent accommodation, preferably in Thredbo, or to come for only four days (arrive Sun 17, depart Thu 21 January, since there is, at 27 July, still some accommodation available in the lodge for those first 4 nights. Please include the first and last names of all adults and children, and ages of children, in the Notes field when you book.
