Victorian Alps - Buller Huts Trail
Sun 27th Dec 2026
Bookings available to active members only.
The Buller Huts Trail is a challenging 96km, 7-day Grade 5 alpine trek for experienced hikers. The circuit commences and ends on Mount Buller, in the Victorian Alps, and traverses remote alpine terrain, including steep climbs, exposed ridges, and river crossings. I intend to do this walk at the end of December when I'm hoping for alpine wildflowers and greener conditions. I'll be following the standard 7 day itinerary at this link. https://www.bullerhutstrail.com.au/the-itinerary/ I'm allowing a large weather window starting 27 December to accommodate 9 days of hiking (including 2 days for side trips/rest days) and 2 days driving. Numbers in the party will be limited to 6. I will be looking to carpool to/from Canberra.
