Exploring beyond Marble Arch
Sun 03rd May 2026
Bookings available to active members only.
From Berlang Campground on Cotter Rd, we walk Past the Big Hole to Marble Arch. From there we explore a short but very pretty slot canyon which ends at a pool. With ropes we'll see how far beyond this point we can get, and what may lie downstream.
This is a mandatorily wet and scrambly walk. There is a crossing of the Shoalhaven (probably calf-knee deep) immediately after leaving the carpark. The canyon bottom is a string of unavoidable small pools and the pool we cross will be a wade, maybe hip deep. Also, last time we walked to Marble Arch it rained, and the leeches came out.
Suitable for fit walkers with off-track and rock-scrambling experience.
