SECOND EASY/MEDIUM WEDNESDAY WALK - 03 DEC 2025 (BBC) - GEODETIC DOME AND ORRORAL HOMESTEAD

This SECOND Easy to Medium graded walk will be led by Peter Dalton (0414 363 255) on behalf of the Brindabella Bushwalking Club. As a trial. there are two Easy/Medium walks this week, with the other being led by David Abela. The aim is to cater for the large numbers who have been participating lately.

We will start the walk at the Orroral Tracking Station site. Most of the day’s climb will be completed in the first stage (before morning tea), which is up the winding track to the Geodetic Dome. The dome is now open and includes notes on its history. After morning tea here we will wind our way down on the excellent track through the granite tors and be back at the picnic site for lunch. Next, we visit the homestead, woolshed and surrounds before returning to the cars.

Meeting place: Meet at the Kambah Village shops, Marconi St, Kambah – opposite the Ampol station.

Time: 8.15 am for 8.30 am departure
