MEDIUM/HARD WEDNESDAY WALK - HONEYSUCKLE CREEK CAMP GROUND CIRCUIT VIA SUNDIAL ROCK (BBC)

This Medium to Hard graded walk will be led by Prue Deacon (6286 1573, 0487 388 959 (SMS), prue.deacon@ozemail.com.au) on behalf of the Brindabella Bushwalking Club

From the Honeysuckle Creek camping ground we walk up a road and footpad to the Sundial Rock (GR 791 593). We follow a creek, roughly south, to a swampy area where several creeks converge. We cross cascades and climb up to boulders along a ridge line (Hill 1203) then descend to a saddle for lunch in a pretty area with big boulders. We'll then explore the swampy area and/or contour clockwise around it before returning to the cars via the Sundial Rock. Wet feet a possibility after all the rain but we'll try to keep above the water line.

The walk is mostly off-track so long pants and/or gaiters recommended. Walkers new to off-track walking will be welcome but contact the leader first.

Meeting point: Kambah Village shops (Marconi Cres, opposite petrol station). Be ready to leave at 8.30 am. Cars: 70 km ($10).

This walk is for members of the BBC, NPA or CBC clubs. Those doing their first Wednesday Walk must contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
