Three Capes Walk - Tassie!
Mon 05th Oct 2026
Bookings available to active members only.
This spectacular 48-kilometre walk showcases some of Tasmania’s most dramatic coastal scenery. Well-formed track features timber boardwalks, stone and gravel surfaces. The adventure begins at the Port Arthur Historic Site, followed by a boat transfer (75 min), travelling past secluded coves and beneath the towering sea cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula — the tallest in the Southern Hemisphere — before landing at remote Denmans Cove.
Over four days and three nights, walk through towering eucalypt forests, coastal heathlands and breathtaking clifftop vistas high above the Southern Ocean. Each evening will be spent in warm, comfortable and environmentally sensitive cabins at Surveyors, Munro and Retakunna. Rise early on the final day for the steady climb up Mount Fortescue, rewarded with sweeping views and continue on to the wild tip of Cape Hauy for views striking dolerite columns. If conditions allow, we can stop for a swim before catching the bus from Fortescue Bay back to Port Arthur Historic Site (30mins)
Whilst the walk itself will not be strenous, you need to be prepared for wild and wet Tassie weather with the proper gear.
Walk fee: $625
