Parking on Captains Flat Rd we explore the eastern side of the reserve, crossing Scabbing Flat Creek twice in nice dry schlerophyll woodland. Returning to the cars we head west out onto a high point that was to be the centrepiece of a planned freehold 'ideal garden suburb' in the days after the creation of Canberra.
A walk or similar activity with a duration of a day or part day. No overnight gear required.
