From the Yankee Hat car park we'll cross Bogong Creek and the Gudgenby Valley, then climb Yankee Hat from the south. We'll descend northwards to Middle Creek and follow it downstream to its convergence with Bogong Creek. From here we'll head to the Yankee Hat Track and back to the car park. Expect some thick scrub and boulders to negotiate on the climb and descent of Yankee Hat. The rest of the walk is on track or through open forest and grassland. Distance of about 12 km and a climb of around 500 m. Partly exploratory. Suitable for experienced off-track walkers. **Bookings not required.** Members only.
