Emu Flat and Upper Blue Gum Creek

A walk exploring the exploring the upper reaches of Blue Gum Ck and Emu Flat. Starting near Corin Forest, we head South up Smokers Firetrail then off-track to Emu Flat via some rocky knolls and saddles. We then pickup the headwaters of Blue Gum Ck and follow it downstream for a km or two. We then head back to the firetrail and cars. This walk is partially exploratory for the leader, so the scrub and vegetation is unknown however, expect tall open forests, rocks and swampy, wet areas.

Note - This is mainly an off-track walk and some scrub is expected, so bring scrub gloves, gaiters, eye protection, water, morning tea, lunch etc.

Those doing their first Wednesday walk and also prospective walkers who are not members of the BBC, NPA or CBC clubs must contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
