**No bookings required for Wednesday Walks.** This walk begins with a quite steep 600 metre slog up the Stockyard Spur track. We will not be going at a fast pace, and there will be water breaks, but if you can’t sustain this kind of climbing for 1.5 hours, then maybe this walk isn’t for you. At the top of this track we join Mount Franklin Road / Fire Trail and we then continue on to Pryor’s Hut, and then on to the track that leads us to the summit of Mount Gingera. We have lunch on Mount Gingera, and then we return the same way. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Bring plenty of water, some warm clothing and a rain jacket. Any rain during the day is likely to be heavier in the mountains. Also, hiking poles could be useful during the return journey down the Stockyard Spur trail.
