Spinnaker Rock & Beyond at Honeysuckle
Sat 02nd Nov 2024
Walk
From the site of the Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station, we begin our ascent off-track towards Spinnaker Rock. The climb is little challenging but rewarding, offering panoramic views as we reach the rocky outcrop. From there, we continue along the ridge, moving southward, where the landscape reveals a series of intriguing features, guided by John Evan's Oracle way-points. The terrain is varied and full of surprises, adding to the adventure. As we make our descent, we explore hidden spots before heading back off-track along the northern side of the Orroral Ridge fire trail. This route follows the serene flow of Honeysuckle Creek, my journey i undertook on December 5th, 2021, where the natural beauty and sense of discovery made every step worthwhile.
