The Worn Boot Bash (WBB) goes to Kozzy!!
Sat 09th Nov 2024
Walk
This year the Worn Boot Bash may well experience a dash of snow, who knows!
This will be a long, full day of walking. The plan is to do the Main Range loop with a side trip to Mt Townsend.
I am expecting that we will walk at least 27.5km, and whilst that is a little short of the required 30km for a WBB, the 1000m of elevation gain will make it equally as difficult. Summiting Australia’s two highest mountains should meet the WBB requirement of 'a few hills'.
The trip is expected to take at least 7 hours from the time we leave Charlotte Pass until we arrive back.
With that in mind, you must have a high level of fitness for this walk.
A walk or similar activity with a duration of a day or part day. No overnight gear required.
