CBC has been invited to contribute 4 walks to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the declaration of Namadgi National Park.

These are public facing events - the ACT Government will advertise them and handle bookings from the public.

2 activity leaders (and the activity owner) are needed to provide guidance and assistance to attendees. Please only book on this trip if you are a CBC leader.

Drive in convoy around 40km south through Namadgi National Park on sealed roads. Watch out for wildlife on the road! There are exhilarating views on either side to bushland and mountain tops. Park at the Rendezvous Creek car park and walk around 7km on a well-formed foot track, across open grasslands and on fire trails. Undulating with a total climb of 150 vertical metres. Enjoy views into the rugged Bimberi Wilderness. Can you hear the mountains calling you? This walk is suitable for people with average fitness and youngsters over 12 years.
An optional extra involves driving a further 6km return (some unsealed road) to a lookout for expansive views into the heart of Namadgi National Park.
