This walk is all off-track. From the Hospital Hill Lookout on the Boboyan Road walk north to north-east down to Dry Creek (which should have water in it), cross the creek, turn to the east and climb over the Booth Range and down to The Bog. Expect some thick scrub including needle bush (bursaria). The climb is steep in places and a number of patches of scree have to be crossed. After lunch, walk mainly south, initially along a creek, to regain the Booth Range then down to Dry Creek and up to the cars.
Suitable for fit, experienced off-track walkers. Distance of 11 km and a total climb of around 700 m.
