E-M Wednesday Walk - Mt Majura/Mt Ainslie Circuit
Wed 08th May 2024
Walk
No bookings required for Wednesday Walks
The walk is about 50/50 on and off track with some steep ascents/descents on loose surface. There will be the odd fence to climb under or over. I recommend gloves for some of the off-track sections..
The route will begin cross-country through the Majura horse paddocks and ascend steeply off track through woodland to Mt Majura. From here we'll proceed to Mt Ainslie via the twin Hackett dams (morning tea), a bit of a bush bash and the Centenary Trail. From Mt Ainslie we descend in a northerly direction, on track, to the Ainslie Labyrinth for lunch. We will return to the cars, in the early afternoon, via a steep bush track, and some firetrails through flat open bush-land, behind the suburbs of Ainslie and Hackett.
