Aranda and Mt Painter wander
Sat 18th May 2024
Part-day walk
A nice morning wander through the local reserves of Aranda and Mt Painter, along a combination of undulating fire trails, single trails, open woodlands and through grasslands. Firstly, exploring the Aranda side, which includes a less visited area of pretty bushland in the southern end of the reserve. Then, we crisscross the landscape making our way to the underpass on Bindubi Street, passing the Cook Horse Paddock to approach Mt Painter. Approaching Mt Painter from the southern side with two short sections off trail through grassland to complete a loop, taking in all the views, before returning to our starting point. Approx 3 1/2 hours and be home in time for lunch!
