A visit to the still wild Queanbeyan river in Yanununbeyan State Conservation Area

Tue 02nd Jan 2024

Completed

Walk, Part-day walk

The map shows the Corner Hill fire trail leading down a set of ridges to the river but we we won't see much of it on the walk. The trail has mainly disappeared as we follow the ridges down to a sharp bend in the Queanbeyan river. This is a reasonably short, off track walk through open bushland with some nice views over the surrounding rolling hills and the Queanbeyan river. An option to cool your heels in the river.
8km, 370 m elevation gain.
Meet at 7am at the Spotlight car park 6 Bungendore Road, Queanbeyan
