Moonlight Hollow Road and Bendora Arboretum
Wed 11th Jan 2023
A relatively easy, pleasant walk on firetrails and the Bendora Arboretum trail, starting from the Bulls Head picnic area on the Mt Franklin Road. We walk along Moonlight Hollow Rd and then Chalet Road (locked gates mean these are vehicle-free), with lunch at Bendora Hut. We then walk the Bendora Arboretum Trail, which weaves 1.5km through the arboretum, which was established in 1940 and contains a range of exotic species. We will be walking under the shade of tall trees for much of the time. A short car shuffle will be required before the start of the walk. Should be back in Canberra by mid-afternoon.
