Bradley's Creek, Googong
We start from the Downstream Picnic area, off Googong Dam Road. Initially the track follows a route marked by directional posts but then follows management trails that undulate along the northern side of the dam before climbing steeply up the Queanbeyan escarpment to Gorman’s Trig. The grades here are quite challenging, and loose gravel can make things a little tricky, particularly when descending on the return journey. Think of it as a good cardio workout with the bonus of good scenery! From Gorman’s Trig to Bradley’s Creek is relatively easy, the views are pleasant and there is a fair amount of wildlife in the area. We will have lunch at Bradley’s Creek before returning along the same route. If we are making good time and people are feeling energetic, we could consider a short diversion to the Googong Lookout on the way back.
