Family (8yo+) Adventure Walk - Kambah Pools to Red Rocks Gorge and return
Sat 21st Sep 2019
Calling all adventurous 8yo+ and their parents to wander the Murrumbidgee River from Kambah Pools to Red Rock Gorge for lunch and a rock skimming opportunity and return. We will follow the river exploring the water’s edge to then climb a short section of the gorge (approx. 15Vm, confidence and goat like skills required) to then amble back along the Bicentennial Trail. The walk will traverse patches of light scrub, climbing over logs and the opportunity to step from rock to rock along the river. A great opportunity to come and try a short family adventure that will take about 4.5 hours, cover 8km and build confidence and trust.
- Parents must accompany children
- Carry your own lunch, snacks, and water, bring hat, sunscreen and sense of humour (Dad jokes guaranteed…)
- Wear shoes with good grip
- Carry your gear in a pack on your back, for this walk you need your hands free
