Nadgigomar & Shoalhaven
Sun 28th Jul 2019
A circuit through the delightful woodlands of Nadgigomar Nature Reserve, which is about 15 km north of Braidwood. Includes about 2 km beside the Shoalhaven River, which flows clear here among sandbanks. One high point will give us views to Mt Palerang. Gently undulating country. A few wattles will be out. I have given this a 'rough' grading because we cross a few steep-sided gullies, and there are a few patches of moderate scrub, but most of the terrain is easy to medium, with open forest dotted with white-barked gums. This area is in a rain shadow, is usually a bit sunnier and warmer than Canberra, and is quite different to Namadgi..
