Family adventure walk to Legoland
Thu 25th Apr 2019
This walk is designed for active families with kids of any age, including baby-wearing parents. The route follows a maintained track, with a few steps and logs to step over, for 800 metres to a complex of giant granite boulders called 'Legoland'. At Legoland, the walkers will set up in a section of the outcrop that is sheltered from the wind, for lunch. From that point, the leaders will take you on short circuits of about 10 minutes each to explore the caves and tunnels of Legoland. Families with older children can do their own exploring. Some of the caves have views into the Orroral Valley. The caves are big enough to shelter the group if it rains. Return by the same route. Expect to be back at your car around 2 pm. Please wear shoes with good grip, and bring a rain coat whatever the forecast.
