Then it's roughly south up a short and steep pinch to the Percy-listed Blundell Hill (1047m). Blundell Hill has an interesting natural history which makes it of particular interes t to ACT peakbaggers. Then it's roughly east along Marshall's Break, acr oss terrain with excellent views to another high point at Hill 1063. Fol lowing a meal break at the high point, we descend down the Wombat Creek Trail towards a lower crossing of Brindabella Road. After carefully cros sing the road, we descend further towards Wombat Creek itself and its co nfluence with Condor Creek. Then it's roughly south-west over undulating country back to the cars at the Curries Road corner. The walk is over O rdovician-age Adaminaby Beds and through a variety of vegetation types. While I personally visit the 'Blundell precinct' regularly, I last led a CBC walk here in 2015. Distance and climb: About 11 kilometres and 570 metres of climbing. Grading: BBC 10, CBC Medium/Medium, NPA 3A Drive: 67 km, $10 per person Weather: As of Friday, the weather forecast for Canb erra for Wednesday is for showers and rainfall of up to 5mm (may be high er in the Brindabellas) Map: Cotter Dam.
