Hospital Creek Cascades and Hut, Snoopy Dog Rock

Many years ago I led a party in a 30-minute circle around Hospital Creek cascades, returning to the smoko spot a second time. Let’s hope my navigation is better this time. Insert from Yankee Hat car park via the Old Bobeyan Rd. A steep climb off-track to look for an elusive geocache. After visiting the cascades, we’ll parallel Hospital Creek to the Hut and explore the nearby ‘Snoopy dog rock’, a tor named by Max Smith and me in 2009. Our return will be off-track between SH1218 and SH1189 to Frank and Jacks Hut, then a bit of a b-line back to our vehicles. Around 13km and 350vm climb.
