Week of Walks Kossi / Perisher Mountains Area

Join a group of congenial walkers staying at the Canberra Ski Lodge, 6 Flame Robin Place. Perisher. Cost is $60p/n=$300, however I cannot guarantee single rooms. Participants need to bring all food for breakfasts, lunches and evening meals plus snacks to take on walks. The kitchen is fully equipped with adequate cooking utensils, plus bbq and a freezer is available. The kitchen cupboards and frig shelves are numbered to align with the room numbers so there is adequate storage for your 5 days of food .

A variety of walks will be offered from easy to strenuous, including the excellent and well marked National Park Walks. When booking (and accepted by me,) please advise me if you are able to lead as I can't possibly lead every day, and best of all leaders can choose their Walk destinations. Day Walks may include the Kossi Circuit 24km, walks to Mt Tate, Mt Twynam, Mt Townsend, Porcupine Rocks, around Blue Lake and last year some of us had a rest day enjoying a swim in the creek near Guthega. Each day about 5pm before dinner will be a meeting to discuss the days activities and inform walkers of the next days intended Walks. When booking please advise me if you are willing to offer transport and how many passengers . Please bring clothes suitable if the weather turns cold, last year we almost had snow and then left as a bushfire was approaching ,so include warm gloves, beanie ,thermals plus shorts and sunhat . Plan for a bbq first night. I have always enjoyed leading this Trip as its always been successful with people leading a variety of walks. I will give further details closer to the Trip eg Drivers and their passengers.
