A circuit of approx 7 km in Tallaganda National Park, featuring a rocky view point, varied vegetation including some wonderful old growth brown barrel forest with a grassy floor, and grassy clearings beside a small creek. This section of Tallaganda remained unburnt in the 2019/20 fires. About half on informal footpads or little-used fire trail and half off track. The footpads include some sections with loose stones. The off-track includes some fairly open forest, patches of scrub, clambering over some knee-high logs and crossing a steep-sided gully. Pace will be moderate especially in the uphill sections. Bring morning tea and lunch. Aiming to be back at the cars by 1.30 pm. For those who know this area, it is not 'Cronins Forest' but equally scenic. Part of Rob & Jenny's Thursday ramble series.
