DESCRIPTION:**No bookings required for joint club Wednesday Walks** Lead
 er: Henry G. Starting from the Devils Gap Firetrail carpark we will walk
  up to Devils Gap and then off track, through light scrub, to an overgro
 wn firetrail along the ridge towards Gibraltar Rocks. After a short whil
 e we will descend off track again to a massive rock platform with specta
 cular views of the Tidbinbilla valley - a platform that I call "Gibralta
 r Slabs". After morning tea, we will make our way off-track along the sl
 abs and then up to the ridge again and proceed generally northwards to m
 eet the Gibraltar Firetrail. The rest of this walk is pretty standard - 
 we will hike up the firetrail to Gibraltar Rocks and then down the track
  to the Dalsetta carpark to complete a car shuffle. Although this walk h
 as a substantial off-track component, the scrub is comparatively light s
 o it should be reasonably accessible. Having said this, there will be pl
 enty of trip hazards so good balance and sure footedness will be needed.
  Bring along gloves and eye protection. Gaiters and poles could also be 
 an advantage. Distance: 9.5km 430vm, Grading: BBC 8, CBC Medium/Medium, 
 NPA 1ACE Map: Tidbinbilla Meeting: Kambah Village shopping centre carpar
 k, Marconi cres, opposite servo to leave by 9am. Carpooling $10 pp for t
 hree passengers in a car - $30 per car otherwise. Tidbinbilla part entry
  fees may apply. Weather: As of Friday, the weather for Canberra for Wed
 nesday 9 Sept is mostly sunny with Light winds becoming southerly 15 to 
 20 km/h during the morning and a temperature range of 3-18 degrees. *Tho
 se doing their first Wednesday Walk, and those who are not members of th
 e CBC, BBC or NPA, must contact the leader to discuss the level of diffi
