Starting from the cars at the site of the former Orroral Tracking Station we will walk up the upgraded steep track to the Orroral Geodetic Observatory for fabulous views of the valley!
We will then explore the track amongst the tors, have morning tea and return to the car park by the same route.
Distance 9km, climb 380vm
Grading: Easy/Medium (CBC), 7 (BBC), 2A (NPA)
Map: Rendezvous Creek
Transport: $10 per passenger.
Meet at the carpark at Lanyon shops, near McDonalds, to leave by 8:30am.
Bring: Rain weather gear, eye protection, sun protection, possibly gaiters, possibly poles for fire trail walking.
Weather: Possible light rain is forecast in the morning with a maximum temperature of 16 degrees.
