DESCRIPTION:An off-track circuit of approx 8 km in the open forest of Ba
 ngo Nature Reserve, north west of Yass. This country is dryer than Namad
 gi. The open forest lets the sunshine in. There is a small creek with so
 me cascades where participants can choose to do some rock scrambling or 
 to walk steeply up between small boulders beside the creek. Other highli
 ghts will include some ancient grass trees, graceful white-barked gums, 
 early spring flowers, an old stone trig point, an old hut site, and occa
 sional views out over the surrounding farmlands. The roughest sections, 
 apart from the cascades area, are the crossing points of a few gullies w
 ith steep, loose dirt sides. There will be some logs to get over. Pace w
 ill be moderate, and slow to moderate on the uphills. Image shows the to
