An old brumby yard off Smokers Flat trail

From the Square Rock carpark we walk up the track that winds through some tall eucalypt forest and boulders to the Smokers Flat firetrail. Then we head off-track through recovering bushland for about 1.5 km, descending a wooded spur to a grassy opening where we found evidence some years ago of an old brumby yard.
If the weather is unsuitable we will bail out and walk to Square Rock

A pleasant walking track but the off-track section could be quite scrubby in parts.

Meet at Kambah Village at 8.30. Petril cost $10 pp.
