Then we cross the highway and - with the permission of the landholder - we cross Tuggeranong Creek and climb through some nice woodland and open grassla nd to the high ground near the railway line, where there is a memorial t o the railway workers. We then explore the adjacent railway cutting and embankment, an area full of drama and historical anecdote. Return to the memorial site for morning tea and beautiful views - we can see both the eastern and western borders of the ACT at that point.
