We can hike the area a few times, each different wal k being optional. You can leave at any time you’ve had enough. Walk 1: From our meeting point in Callister Cres (entrance between 25 and 29) T heodore, we’ll top the two knolls in the north-east part of the Nature Reserve. Great suburban and mountain range views further afield. We’l l continue on to visit the Theodore axe grinding grooves and return via the suburban edge management trail. Around 5km and 240vm climb. Walk 2: From out meet point, we’ll walk NW on the edge management trail, then turn off-track up a lovely open woodland spur. At a shallow saddle, we j oin a footpad steeply up to Tuggeranong Hill trig. Our return is initial ly down the main Tuggers Hill FT, then off-track steeply down through wo odland to join the southern suburban edge FT and so back to our vehicles . Around 4km and 210vm climb. Walk 3: From our meet point, walk up the m ain Tuggers Hill FT to the trig again. Descend to the NW via a footpad, then across the N flank of the hill again on FT. A short off-track leg, then back to our cars via management trail. Around 4.5km and 220vm. “I ’ll have that with the lot” – around 13.5km and 670vm climb. Grade d M/M CBC, M(10) BBC, 2A/B NPA.
