Walk the well-formed Grade 3 tracks in the Ginninderry Conservation Corridor, including the newer NW extension which includes Jahli’s Lookout over the mighty Murrumbidgee River. The brochure notes ‘many steep steps’ in this area. There are two swing bridges. Stunning views! Around 10km and 330vm climb. You can finish here if you like, as we will be back near the start.
The second part of the hike is a loop to Shepherds Lookout with another view over the ‘bidgee. This easy hike traverses a number of different vegetation zones (including the Callitris Forest) on the way back and visits a number of lookouts (such as the Scribbly Gum lookout and Gruner’s Vista). This second part is around 7km and 190vm climb.
Doing both parts is around 17km and 520vm climb.
