 ail.com From The Link, Strathnairn, we walk along several trails in the 
 Ginninderry Conservation Corridor, starting with the Nguurung Bila Loop 
 clockwise then head north onto the River Descent Track, stopping for mor
 ning tea at a beautiful spot on the Murrumbidgee River. From here we bac
 ktrack a short way to pick up the track again and complete a short loop 
 over the two suspension bridges before heading back to rejoin the Nguuru
 ng Bila Loop. Lunch will be at a delightful shady spot among native euca
 lypts with plentiful logs to sit on. On to the Woodland Loop taking in t
 he interpretive Burin Lookout signage, and if we have time we then may c
 omplete the Shepherds Lookout Loop before heading back to The Link. It w
 ill be fairly slow going with stellar views across the corridor, river a
 nd out to the Brindabellas. Lovely woodland, chances to encounter local 
 wildlife (including grazing cows) and birds. There are lots of steps on 
 this walk and a steep section. If the tracks are muddy then you may get 
 wet feet. Poles recommended. The aim is to return to The Link by no late
 r than 3 pm. Distance: About 10-14 km (depending on the size and speed o
 f the party), Climb: About 330-450 m (depending on whether we include th
 e Shepherds Lookout Loop) Grading: M/E (CBC), 8 (BBC), 2A (NPA) Meet: th
 e carpark at Gullifer Street, Strathnairn (behind the Strathnairn Cafe) 
 where is there is plenty of parking, ready to start walking at 9 am Weat
 her: As of Sunday the BOM forecast for Canberra on Wednesday is for morn
 ing frost and partly cloudy, 0-13 degrees. *Those doing their first Wedn
 esday Walk, and those who are not members of the CBC, BBC or NPA, must c
 ontact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.*
