Easy/Medium Wednesday Walk, 22 July, Camel's Hump in Tidbinbilla NR (NPA)

The walk is a lot more Medium than Easy and is mainly on fire trail, initially through lush forest, with some steep ascents/descents. The walk will commence at Mountain Ck carpark , from there we'll walk for about two hours along a fire trail until we reach the ridge of the Tidbinbilla Range. This section will be followed by a short sharp scramble, of about 20 minutes, on a steep track, to the Camel's Hump peak. We'll lunch here and savour the spectacular views over the Cotter and Tidbinbilla valleys. The return trip will mainly be by the same route, though we may take a longer descent from the Hump. Gloves would be useful for the section to and from the Camel's Hump. We may even see some snow.

It will be chilly on the walk especially on The Hump, so please bring warm clothes, rain protection, food and water.
