Would you like to give back something to the ACT's beautiful environment? Here's your chance!
Join us to support ACT Parks in removing old fencing that impedes and endangers wildlife. We will contribute towards the removal of an old stock fence that spans the Orroral Valley, 3.7 km north-west of the valley's tracking station site.
Access will be on foot from the site of Rollys Hut (1.3 km each way). Some of us will need to carry gear to/from the site, so if you want a bit of an extra workout, you can help out with this.
All tools provided, just bring gardening or other suitable gloves - along with your usual water, snacks and lunch. Carpooling to site.
This activity will be undertaken under the direction of ACT Parks and led by Martin Chalk from the National Parks Association (NPA) of the ACT. It is a joint activity with NPA ACT.
We would absolutely love to have you along, and brute strength is not required for most roles, but please only sign up if you really want to be involved in this conservation/wildlife protection activity. :)
PLS NOTE: Leader will be overseas from 18 July to 15 September. There may be short delays in response to queries.
