For many years, the leader has been intrigued by the mystique of the northern Blue Mountains. This trip will visit Wollemi National Park, Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area, Munghorn Nature Reserve and Goulburn National Park.
Wollemi is extraordinary as a vast, unroaded area close to Sydney, with very rugged and grand terrain. The Gardens of Stone is famed for its intriguing pagoda structures. The drier rolling, forested landscapes of Goulburn National Park provide an attractive complement.
This trip will focus on sightseeing these magnificent landscapes, car camping and some short day walks, mostly on National Park walking tracks. There are no overnight walks on this trip.
Note that the maximum number of participants will depend on the cars available. Ideally, there would be one large vehicle which could comfortably take 4 people and gear.
There is also some flexibility with dates, particularly given the relatively short notice. Please message the leader about this.
