  the forecast rain, this week's Medium/Hard walk is easier than usual an
 d closer to home. If the rain is heavy, this walk will be cancelled.* Fr
 om the Tidbinbilla Tracking Station we climb a lightly wooded spur to re
 ach the Bullen Range Fire Trail. A little further north we take a simila
 r steepish spur east, dropping down to a knoll overlooking Kambah Pool. 
 We do not go down to river level but stay high and follow the river nort
 h for good views. After crossing a couple of steep gullies we then reach
  a fire trail that takes us back over the range and a return to the cars
 . Nice, unspoilt forest, mostly off-track walking. Distance: 8 km. Climb
 : 460m. BBC Rating of Medium (8). You may consider bringing poles for th
 e steeper sections, also gaiters for potentially long wet grass. Maps: T
 idbinbilla, Tuggeranong. Forecast weather: As of Saturday evening, maxim
 um of 15C and WET with rain between 10mm and 40mm. *If the weather is as
  predicted, the walk will be cancelled! * Meeting Time: 8.20am for an 8.
 30am departure Meeting Place: Kambah Village Shopping Centre car park op
 posite the service station. Transport: Distance 65km ($9 per passenger).
