We’ll start our walk not too far from Urriara Village then make our way on fire trails through the Lower Cotter Catchment area. This is a surprisingly easy and delightful walk which has magnificent views of the upper reaches of Cotter Lake and the upper Cotter River. For most of this loop, we’ll be traversing through the untouched native forests of the water catchment area. We’ll go around part of Condor Hill, then to the top and then have our lunch on a grassy slope with a grandstand view of Lake Cotter. The walking on this loop is very easy going as it’s mostly all on fire trails. There are some small sections of the trail with moderate hills, loose rocks and small shrubs, but apart from this, it’s a really easy 13 kms or so.
