This is a Medium walk (BBC 9). It includes two ascents, and two descents, of Black Mountain, all on different tracks (mostly avoiding the more-frequently-used main track). It includes the Bushland Nature Walk and a couple of short off-track sections through very open bush. It also includes a walk through the Australian National Botanic Gardens, visiting the Sydney Region Gully and the Red Centre Garden.
Approx 13km, with about 500m total elevation gains.
Meet at 9:15, for a 9:30 start, in the carpark at Glenlock Interchange (known in Google Maps as GDE Memorial Carpark).
Those doing their first Wednesday Walk, and those who are not members of the CBC, BBC or NPA, must contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
