Easy-Medium Wednesday Walk, June 10, Black Mountain Tracks and Trails (CBC) - No Need to Book
Wed 10th Jun 2026
Bookings available to active members only.
We start at the Electric Substation on Frith Road Acton, making our way to the Botanic Gardens Bushland Precinct and then around the southern base of the mountain to a spur that leads to the top. From here we descend north and pick up the Black Mountain Forest Loop so that we can take in the wonderful views as we traverse this track. Then we descend a little more and pick up the upgraded trail that goes over Little Black Mountain. We make the final descent to a track that leads us back to the substation and our cars.
Meet at the Substation at 9:15 am for a 9:30 start
Track Description: All on tracks and fire trails but there is one steep loose downhill section that requires care.
Weather: Showers 4-15 mm, 5-16 C
What to Bring: lunch, snacks and water and, given the forecast, appropriate wet weather gear and warm clothing
